Hundreds of skilled trades workers from various unions in New Brunswick are currently on strike, advocating for wage increases and parity. This situation, according to the provincial government, has affected several ongoing projects. Members of Locals 1555 and 2166 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) have joined the picket lines, participating in this significant labor action which is highlighted in the latest electrical union news. In addition, carpenters from Fredericton, affiliated with Local 1386 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, are also standing in solidarity. The IBEW community events surrounding this strike underscore the determination of New Brunswick skilled trades workers to secure fair compensation.
